Description: Join KSAP as we explore an innovative approach to data export utilizing the new OTM REST Data Export API. In this presentation, we will detail the successful implementation of this API, enabling the seamless extraction of large volumes of transactional data from OTM/GTM databases to a third-party cloud data warehouse (Data Lake) on a scheduled cadence, multiple times daily. With millions of records spanning dozens of tables, our solution provides a robust alternative to conventional methods such as Golden Gate, DB.XML, or manual CSV exports, offering substantial cost savings and enhanced control over transactional data sharing across systems.

By harnessing the power of this API, attendees will gain insights into its low-cost, self-managed capabilities, perfectly aligned with our client’s preferred technology stack, notably Microsoft Azure. Serving as a pivotal tool for extracting transaction data for daily operational reports, our solution addresses key considerations, including handling Primary Key deletes for child tables. While our current synchronization lag stands at a few hours, our ongoing commitment is to optimize down to 1 hour, ensuring near real-time data availability
